Our story goes back to 1910, when Henry Ranger opened Christchurch's first Ford agency, selling Model Ts. In 1925 the dealership became part of Colonial Motor Company, and in 1934 Ormond Hutchinson took the helm - guiding the business through the Depression and two World Wars, and growing it into one of Canterbury's most noteable motoring names. His son, Ormond Alexander Hutchinson, took over as manager in 1973, and in 1985 the dealership became Team Hutchinson Ford, a name that recognised the whole team behind its success. That family leadership continues today under John Hutchinson, and over 100 years on, we're still proud to be at the same site - 186 Tuam Street and Christchurch's leading Ford dealership.
