Stokes Motorsport Team to Compete in Rally NZ

After a 10 year hiatus, the World Rally Championship is coming back to NZ and Team Hutchinson Ford are proud to be sponsoring the Stokes Motorsport Team in the event.

Four days of thrilling, high-speed action involving all the top WRC teams is not to be missed, with Friday and Saturday also rounding off the New Zealand Rally Championship. 

The event includes 280km of special stages with a central park on Auckland’s Waterfront. 

Robbie and Amy Stokes will be competing in the newly rebuilt Ford Fiesta AP4; They will be car number 32.

Can’t be there in person? There are many other ways to keep up to date with all the action from the event:

  • Sunday’s power stage around the purpose built stage Jack’s Ridge will be live on TV3 from 3pm.

 

Key Dates:

  • Friday 30th September
    • There are 4 spectator points on Friday on classic Rally NZ road. 
    • Whaanga Coast is a favourite for many WRC drivers past and present with incredible views.
    • This will be a tricky day for teams with no midday service. Crews will only be able to change their tyres and refuel the car.
    • There will be a Tyre Fitting Zone and Regroup based in Raglan from 1pm.
    • Crews will head back to Auckland for an end of day service beginning at 7.55pm
  • Saturday 1st October
    • All three of Saturdays stages are based North of Auckland. These stages will be repeated morning and afternoon, with a midday service back in Auckland.
    • There will be a refuel in Helensville throughout the day, with your chance to meet the drivers!
    • While the stage kilometres for the day might be less than Friday, it’s expected to be hard on tyres!
  • Sunday 2nd October
    • The final day of Rally NZ offers a real spectacle for rally fans. The purpose built stage of Jacks Ridge provides spectators with access to multiple viewing points. All the amenities will be available.
    • Plan ahead, as traffic is likely to cause disruptions in the area.
    • There is NO spectating in Whitford Forest.
